Got a parking fine in Norway?
Appeal it — in minutes, in correct Norwegian.
Norwegian parking companies require appeals in Norwegian, grounded in Norwegian parking law. We generate that letter for you: upload a photo of the ticket, describe what happened in English, and receive a formal, legally grounded appeal — built on the Norwegian parking regulations and the published practice of the Parking Complaints Board.
10% of the fine (min. 29 NOK) · You send the letter yourself · Appeal deadline: 3 weeks
How it works
Why not just write it myself — or ask a chatbot?
Because the details decide these cases. A Norwegian parking appeal succeeds or fails on things a generic tool doesn't know: which regulation applies to your type of fine, which formal requirements the ticket must meet, who the correct recipient actually is, and what the Parking Complaints Board has said in comparable cases. Every board decision cited in your letter is automatically checked against the board's published decisions before the letter is finalised — a case that doesn't exist there never makes it into your appeal. And the letter only ever builds on what you yourself have stated.
Frequently asked questions
I don't speak Norwegian. Can I still appeal a Norwegian parking fine?
Yes. Norwegian parking companies and the Parking Complaints Board (Parkeringsklagenemnda) require appeals in Norwegian — so we write the formal letter in Norwegian for you. You describe what happened in English (or Swedish or Danish); we render your explanation faithfully in the Norwegian appeal. You receive the finished letter by email and send it to the parking company yourself.
My car has foreign licence plates. Does the fine still apply?
Yes — Norwegian parking fines are valid regardless of where the vehicle is registered, and they can be enforced across borders. The appeal process is the same, and our service handles foreign plates.
What is the deadline for appealing?
You must appeal to the parking company within 3 weeks of the fine being issued. If the company rejects your appeal, you can take the case to the Parking Complaints Board within one year — that step is free of charge for consumers.
Do I have to pay the fine while my appeal is being processed?
For a private control sanction (kontrollsanksjon): no — a disputed claim cannot be sent to debt collection before the appeal is finally decided, under the Norwegian parking regulations § 37. For a municipal parking fee (parkeringsgebyr), payment rules differ; your letter will reflect the correct type.
What does the service cost?
You pay 10% of the fine amount (minimum 29 NOK). For a typical 660 NOK fine, that is 66 NOK. You only pay when your appeal letter is generated.
What are my chances of winning?
According to the Parking Complaints Board's own annual reports, close to four in ten cases brought before the board in 2025 ended with the complainant fully or partly succeeding, or the parking company withdrawing the claim. A well-documented appeal is often enough to make the company drop the case before the board even rules.
Parkeringsbot.no is operated by Desken AS (org. no. 984 358 202), Norway. The service generates appeal letters; it does not provide individual legal advice, and no outcome can be guaranteed.
